The Department of Transportation has determined that additional paving work is needed on Chestnut Street. Therefore, beginning as early as Friday, the DOT will be closing additional portions of Chestnut Street in Burlington. The DOT is distributing a press release and map of the closure to the media and impacted residents this week. Additionally, we will be posting the information on our website. Residents will be able to access their homes and emergency vehicles will able to pass through the area while it is under construction. We post the press release as soon as we receive it at www. burlington-wi.gov.
